Matrix 502TM is a polymer-modified asphaltic expansion joint system consisting of a specially blended polymer-modified asphalt binder and specially selected pre-blended, non-uniform aggregate. Proper installation will yield a smooth riding, watertight joint capable of absorbing up to no more than + 1/-1" inch (25 mm) of joint movement. Matrix 502TM has been designed as a rehabilitation material for asphalt-overlaid bridge decks.
